Phew

Speechifying done. I survived. Several people came up to me afterwards to tell me I’d spoken well, apparently my nausea, shaking hands and racing heart don’t come through in my voice (or not much anyway :P)

Thanks everyone for all the encouraging comments, they helped 🙂

Now, I need a massage. I think Adam may be persuadable.

  1. Ando was surprised you’d been worried – he said you spoke wonderfully well and naturally, and your speech was spot on. Good on you!

  2. Congratulations!Did something similar myself recently. Public speaking is not a big deal for me – I have done a lot of it – but for the first time ever, I sang in public. My knees shook. Badly. I was scared. Badly. I could barely manage walking to the stage. Badly. But, I did it. And I felt so good afterwards. All of which is a long way of saying, “I hear you. I feel what you feel. And I am so pleased for you.”You’ll be doing it again sometime?
