No big changes in the kitchen but the electrician did come and hook up the oven. I’ve got a whole butternut pumpkin in there at the moment, cut up into little cubes and seasoned with garlic, nutmeg and paprika. Roast pumpkin and chorizo risotto tonight.
The laundry/bathroom has wall linings,

waterproofing

and the beginnings of wall tiles.

The old front door

has been replaced with a new front door, stained and varnished by Adam.

Some of the new internal doors have stain and varnish on them and some of the painted door jams have been stripped back ready for stain and varnish. There is much paint stripping, staining and varnishing still to do. All by Adam. In his spare time, you know.

Caitlin and Tom got new beds.

And the cat continues to sit on me.

You do realise that all of this means that I am going to invite myself to your place next time I come to Sydney?
I certainly hope so! All Hoydenizens have a standing invitation 🙂
Excellent news! I am enjoying watching your progress. Although I find myself mentally re-arranging my kitchen, bathroom, laundry, bedroom…
Mim,
It’s lovely. I love your ‘feature border thingy’ and the new front door is great. I can’t wait to visit (whenever that will be!) 🙂 I love your shoulder accessory, Samantha knows a good place when she sees it.
I love all the Buffy posters on Caitlin’s wall 🙂
How did I not know you blogged? Caitlin’s colour scheme is the same as I mine as a teen! I feel a connection. Love your cat. Who needs a heater?
Heh. Probably because I’ve barely written anything this year! Hoping to get back to regular blogging, perhaps once I’ve emerged from the renovations chaos.
