25 years

I don’t know what he’s grinning about, he’d forgotten my ring.

I wore stupid feet hurting shoes.

It was all terribly traditional, church wedding, Dad walked me down the aisle.

I think this was one of the solemn bits. I’m not very good at solemn.

We’re both reasonably good at being grinning idiots though.

And then we went and stood on a rock. As you do.

All that was 25 years ago today. You don’t spend 25 years living with someone without experiencing a whole rollercoaster ride of emotions about each other, some parts of the ride are joy and exhilaration, some parts coast along, and some parts of the ride can be a bit rough. But 25 years ago I promised to hang out with him till we were old and grey and he seemed to think that was a pretty good idea too and now only one of us is going grey and we’re not old yet, so here’s to hanging around together for the rest of the ride.

Happy anniversary Adam. I love you.
