I have been feeding the cats on a bench seat on the front deck lately in order that they might enjoy their food at their own leisurely pace and not have to bolt dinner down before the dog comes along and steals it.
I don’t think the plan is working quite as I intended.
Despite clear sounds of cat in the garden, this fuzzy person had come down onto the deck and was taking possession of the dining table.

The photos are a bit dark because I was taking them through the front window and couldn’t use the flash. My presence on the other side of the glass was apparently of no concern whatsoever.

Though every so often there was some attention paid to the presence standing next to me.

The whole 5 minutes of so that this was going on Clara stood with her nose inches from the window staring intently and being Very Self Controlled and Not Barking because she is a Good Dog. I thought she was going to explode.

Guess I’ll have to find somewhere else for the cats’ bowls.
That’s some mighty impressive self control! π
Aren’t they cheeky! Same thing happened to us exactly (though I didn’t get photos). I’ve now resigned myself to topping up the cat bowl one spoonful at a time so the dog doesn’t steal the whole lot.
Cheeky thieves! I’ve got a photo somewhere of one very brave poss who use to watch us as we ate dinner on the front verandah in Bris. It climbed up onto the bench, crawled onto T’s lap and ate his pizza as he sat there stunned.
Very, very, very cute!! (never thought I’d say that about an opossum!)
Well, it’s not an opossum, so that probably helps π Different marsupial order altogether.
