Weigh-in week 5

A loss of 0.2kg today for a total of 5.7kg gone, bloody miraculous I call it considering how the second half of last week went. I’m going to go back to tracking here in blog-land I’m afraid, seems work best with the keeping me honest thing. I shall endeavor to include witty anecdotes (or something anyway) with every post in order to break the monotony. WWC Wk3 Day1&2The focus is on 2 fruit and 5 veg per day this week. Monday was ok with 3 fruit and ~4 serves of veg. Today I’ve had 2 fruit and 6 serves of … Continue reading Weigh-in week 5

Weigh-in week ummm….

I think I’ll call this week 2. I hit the highest weight I’ve been, since starting back in Feb ’06, on Aug 14, but since then it feels like I’ve finally come out of some kind of fog and have re-committed to getting on with things. So, week 2 and I have a loss of 2.1kg to report, with which I am rather pleased. I tracked every day for the first time in months, I drank my water and I did a few walks plus a very energetic session of bowling and hey, guess what? It works! Who’d’ve thunk it? … Continue reading Weigh-in week ummm….

Two steps back, one step forward.

Last week I gained 1.7kg. This week I lost 0.7kg. *sigh* I really need to track properly, it’s the only thing that works for me and I can’t seem to make myself pick up a pen and do it. Adam and I were talking last night about our need to get moving on the health and fitness front, we keep promising each other that we’re going to stop talking and start doing so hopefully we can work together on this and keep each other on track. I did the meal plan for the week yesterday and all the shopping is … Continue reading Two steps back, one step forward.

Birthday fallout

What with drinkies with Weight Watchers forum folks on Saturday afternoon, seafood platter dinner at Manly on Saturday night, birthday lunch at my mum’s complete with black forest cake on Sunday, and a total absence of exercise in my week I think I should count myself lucky to have come away with a mere 0.3kg gain this week πŸ˜› Now, must convince myself…the treadmill is my friend, the treadmill is my friend, the treadmill is my friend….LOL. 3 hours sleep is not enough

Ow. My head hurts πŸ˜› Due to various acts of stupidity I went to bed at 2:00am last night and got up at 5:00am to finish some work for the school P&C – bad idea. On the upside I lost 0.5kg this week which is my first loss in nearly a month I think. This is going to be the begining of good things, the kids are back at school and I’m feeling really motivated again. Continue reading 3 hours sleep is not enough

A Fresh Start

Winter is long gone, warmer weather has hit with a vengeance, the new plants in the garden nearly expired over the weekend with the 30 degree heat πŸ˜› Time to get things moving again. I’ve decided to switch from Points to No Count, I’m fed up with counting and calculating all the time and I think the No Count rule of fruit and veg only for snacks will work really well for me. Also I’ve been thinking a lot about the kids’ eating habits and how best to fix some of their bad habits and I reckon the whole family … Continue reading A Fresh Start

Clear sailing ahead

Hmmm, I ran into a bit of foul weather for a while…I’m back where I was 6 weeks ago…bugger. However, there’s been a lot of fun had and life’s like that, stuff happens, you deal, and then get on with it. So, since I last posted here’s what I’ve been up to:Sat 24th June Equality Now/Serenity Now charity screening of Serenity at George St cinemas, we raised over $2000 for Equality Now πŸ˜€Me making silly faces as I encourage people to buy raffle tickets After screening Yum Cha shindig – tea and dumplings! We then spent the afternoon lounging around … Continue reading Clear sailing ahead
